Extension Stormwater Specialist Jason Vogel has an update on our sand cistern project. Justin Moss visits with Madeleine Wiens from the Oklahoma City Office of Sustainability about how to save water around the house.

Best of Oklahoma Gardening Episode (#4632) 2/8/20
This week on the Best of Oklahoma Gardening, we have an entire show filled to the brim with great plants to add to your garden. Host Casey Hentges showcases a kaleidoscope of annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, Oklahoma Proven plants, and All-America Selections. There are so many that you will be spoiled for choice to try and decide how many of these great plants you can fit in your landscape. Casey shows us a low-maintenance Oklahoma Proven perennial you can add to your shade garden. We stroll through the OSU Stillwater campus to see some of this years favorite plants and plant combinations. We take a gander up at an Oklahoma Proven Giant Coneflower. There’s a bold Oklahoma Proven tree for the landscape. OSU Consumer Horticulturist, David Hillock, highlights some annuals that are All-America Selections. Casey finds an iris with foliage as showy as its blooms on our OSU campus. Host Casey Hentges is in the Oklahoma Proven Garden with a flower that will make you a fan. Casey takes a stroll through the test gardens at The Botanic Garden at OSU to look at some winners for Oklahoma. Then we have an Oklahoma Proven plant with a Mediterranean flare.

And we visit an innovative shed in Moore, OK that takes advantage of a small space. And back home we at our Botanical Garden at OSU, we unravel the mystery of the tiger stripes in our lawn.
