Flowers & Grasses
Oftentimes at the Oklahoma Gardening Studio Garden, we will dig up our cannas to store them for the winter. Although it’s still a bit early to put them back in the ground, we can give them a jump start on spring.
This is a great time of year to plant bulbs in the garden, but it can be hard to wait until spring to enjoy their beauty. Fortunately, many spring-flowering bulbs can be forced indoors for a colorful winter display. When it’s cold and dreary outside, there’s no better pick-me-up on a winter day than fresh flowers.
Even if you’ve got the greenest thumb around, gardeners know it sometimes can be a challenge to grow certain trees, flowers and shrubs in Oklahoma. But gardeners in this state have never been known to give up easily.
With the holiday season in full swing, homes across the country are adorned with colorful plants that add an air of festiveness to the décor.
