A quick and easy to make side dish, bring extra flavor to any meal with sautéed brussels sprouts, onions and garlic.

 

 

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

 

Directions

  1. Cut the Brussels sprouts into slivers using a sharp knife, mandolin or food processor. Set aside until needed.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the oil. When oil is hot, add onions and sauté 3 minutes, until tender.
  3. Stir in garlic and continue to sauté mixture for 30 seconds.
  4. Add slivered Brussels sprouts, salt and pepper and sauté 5 to 10 minutes, until sprouts are wilted and reach the tenderness you desire.
